TREE’S ANGUISH

“ So Lucky you are
To collect the smiles
Of milky cheeked tiny tots!
Why do you look so anguished then ?”
A tree asked it’s neighbour tree
“I am in the school
I thought and bloated
Bloomed heavily
I wanted to become
A carpet under the tiny feet
By dropping all my blooms
But by the grace of the teachers
I have transformed into a cane
Causing weals
On the backs of the tiny tots
Is it not a cause for anguish”?
Asked the tree
Wiping out the
Swelling tears.
