Walking on the edge of a river-31

English Translation – Swathi Sreepada

Telugu original written by – Dr.C.Bhavani Devi

Light and desire

This is not a country with sand foundation
This is a place of that show light on path to the world
This is not a cloth of, three feet, tricoloured
Entire Indian liberated independent elegance
This is the song of responsibility, a fruit of high sacrifice

A rifle on my shoulder is my country
From the edges of snow mountains, I guard
Watching a comprehensive national form
Showered by the liberated winds of seen decades

Not perching eyelids day and nigh
Meditating the mother form
Installed in eye balls
Groups of enemies with destructive powers
Though outraged for destructive annihilations
In the sky that dawns everyday
Listening new songs of thousands of stars

In the voice of first generation freedom fighter
Though the freedom of revolutionary slogan hanged
Though dumped on the soil without casting the head down
I target the weapons of rays of conflicts of truth

To the pulse of depressed nation
Caught in the helpless sad whirlpools
I read the paper of life blooming
That provides undesired light of control

Giving a form of movement to the dreamt emotion
I am enraptured by the memory of beautiful brave scene
That gave a form to mother land in tri colours

Every year -celebration of Independence Day
Goes on dreaming with love
Throughout the year with a new inspiration
Ascends that dream into a palanquin and takes in procession

From the fields of farmers
To people of all trades
From gardens, forests, hills and mountains
Villages, towns and cities

When every fist raises it head as a flag
When every voice resounds as a mother song
To the seven-decade tricolor flag
Even seven oceans too bow

The shattered insults hidden in the history
Unless we unfold and see them from the pages of memories
Not a good word blooms for the country
To rededicate again and again
Covered with unavoidable power of unity
Never will take the pledge of abolition practice

Noe this tricolored flag hoisting
May not be on houses, offices, cross roads , and schools
From the great holy Indian kinship alone
From the future of the infants
Watching wide eyed the emotion filled dreams

The flag that had given magic to this soil
Filling the wind of here with the fragrances of bravery
It unites us with a relationship of soil
In the Yajna of protecting entire country

With sticks in hands let us be the watching eyes
Let us sing the vandemataram of unbreakable decision
as ever burning lights lets raise to the sky

in the witness of generations sacrifices at altar
f0r the smiles of tomorrows kids
let us dedicate our breaths today

as a day exists for lovers to love
to love the country
let us write and give all the days
to the Indian soil, the land of wisdom
with seventy springs freedom song
let us praise and prostrate
