Tempest of time (poems)

22. Home Dwelling

I am deeply immersed in thoughts
My mind has now become
a newspaper; it cannot fill my fist.
New light is being transmitted to the kitchen!
I salute this strange free time;
it doesn’t allow to stir the curry while cooking,
how much salt is needed is not known too!
While I’m colouring my inner self
and sprinkling smiles, another wonder
took me to the front room.
When my husband handed me a tea glass
like how he does to his mother,
enhanced reverence entered my heart.
The fan revolving like me,
the phone lying beside me silently
are pinching my mind, befriending my retina.
I know not whether my mind sky enlarged
or the ground got filled with fragrance;
the scene of I arranging kids’ books,
segregating clothes has turned unusual!

Erased the old sea of tsunamis,
gave the old sweet song.
Became a dear ambience
that cannot be spurned easily.
When he brought all the dried clothes in,
my heart filled with dense moisture.
Experience is not a sudden fall of hails though.
When I, the room, table, bed sheet watched,
he folded all the clothes flinging me to a new world.
A swing of a comely fishling brought ecstasy.
As I dusted cobwebs in the wardrobe,
he cleaned the kid’s nose;
old feelings that were lost reappeared.
How can you trouble me Corona?
My hubby’s help is a big mountain for me.
I, my in-laws, and others are happy;
So won’t you flee our home?
We got rid of old differences,
now shining like utensils cleaned.
A new song has to be sung:
“Much is the beauty of home;
hubby too has a share in it.”

Home dwelling is a great living!
