Walking on the edge of a river-34
English Translation – Swathi Sreepada
Telugu original written by – Dr.C.Bhavani Devi
Walking on the edge of a river
I am a river
My shores are not that of a country
My thoughts
Are the waves of waves
My walk heals the wounds
Wipes off the pains and insults
Exposes the insides
And makes the world walk with me
Once upon a time just I was a thin stream of water
With the union of many streams
I became river of happiness
Becoming the dusks of anguish before the arrival of winter
For the dawns that shed the leaves
Blowing off the immobile clouds in life
Spread as the stream of light
Though in a mean state constructed the walls
I became greenery with the tunes of resplendency
And blessed with the eyes of a feeble woman
For the purity of my dreams
My smile imprint of droplets
When in deep slumber
On the silver pillow of moonlight
To the warm hug of morning sun
I wake up as the natural beautiful light
When moved aside the veil
The glisten of my tresses
Dance as gold and silver coins
To watch the shines of rainbow
That unites both the shores
To listen the rhythm of fluttering my wings
Thousands of times
With the bells of water drops
Stop your running at once and see
Come as an unexpected guest
To the arbor woven at my premises
In to the garden of colorful flowers
Into the gathering of rare poetry
Transmit yourself
You can never forget
The message of my life written by my soul
you can never leave and go
the human music that walks on the edge of the river
